Sniff the air of the theatre and gain an insight into the new Musiktheater am Volksgarten. Experience themost modern opera house in Europe from the inside and access areas that are off limits to regulartheatregoers. The tour offers a stunning look at the Großer Saal, the foyer with the sound installations,the innovative BlackBox Studio stage, the orchestra area, the dressing rooms and parts of the workshops.
(Please note that due to the ongoing activities in the theatre, tour times may be subject to change or not all areas may be accessible for viewing at all times.).

Due to the long distances and many stairs the tour covers, general physical fitness is a prerequisite for the tour.
No liability can be accepted for objects left at the cloakroom.

Dates: every Saturday at 4:00 PM.
Exception: The tour is not available when the day’s performance starts in the afternoon.

If you are attending the performance on the same day, the tour costs € 48.00 per group.

The collection of costumes at the Landestheater comprises approximately 110,000 pieces. The head of the costume department takes visitors through the storerooms and reveals many secrets about this extraordinary treasures.

Curtain on! - Come with your family and take a look behind the scenes
Where do the performers prepare for their big performance? What exactly do the spotlights look like? Can you actually fly in theatre? Who pushes the big stage sets on stage? Where do the Bruckner Orchester Linz and the opera choir rehearse?
We would like to pursue these and other exciting questions with you as part of an interactive tour through the linz opera. We look forward to seeing you!
